New policies and procedures now available

The NSW Electoral Commission (NSWEC) has published a number of new Funding and Disclosure policies and procedures on the Legislation and Policies page of the NSWEC website.

The Compliance and Enforcement Policy (PDF 115.1KB) provides a guide to the use of investigation and enforcement powers by the NSWEC.

The Compliance and Enforcement Procedures (PDF 172KB) sets out how the NSWEC’s investigation and enforcement actions meet the principles and objectives of the Policy.

The Compliance Audit Policy (PDF 66.5KB) provides a guide to the approach and overarching principles in the conduct of compliance audits by the NSWEC.

The Electoral Participants and Agent Registration Policy and Procedures (PDF 81.1KB) describes the principles and objectives of the registration of electoral participants and agents.

The Party Registration Policy and Procedures (PDF 115.2KB) sets out the principles and objectives of party registration, including how the Commissioner may make decisions about registration matters.

The Potential Political Donors Policy and Procedures (PDF 93.6KB) outlines the legislative requirements for identification of potential donors not enrolled, and sets out the principles, objectives and processes involved.

The Prosecution Policy (PDF 107.5KB) aims to ensure decisions to prosecute are based on appropriate criteria which are transparent, impartial and consistently applied.
