Registers

For each election the NSWEC keeps a Register of Official Agents. The NSWEC also keeps an ongoing Register of Party Agents.

When the NSWEC receives notification of the appointment of an agent, if the agent satisfies all criteria to be an appointed as an agent, the agent's details will be included in a register.

The registers are available for public inspection. To inspect a register contact us.

If any of the following details change notify the NSWEC in writing by completing a form to amend the Register (See Forms):

  • the agent's name;
  • the agent's address;
  • the agent's occupation;
  • the name of the party that appointed the agent (in the case of a party agent);
  • the name or composition of the group of candidates that appointed the agent (in the case of an official agent for a group);

To revoke the appointment of an agent the party, elected member, group of candidates, candidate or third-party campaigner must complete a form to notify the NSWEC of the revocation of the appointment (See Forms).

If an agent resigns he/she should first notify the party, elected member, group of candidates, candidate or third-party campaigner by whom they were appointed. The party, elected member, group of candidates, candidate or third-party campaigner must then notify the NSWEC of the agent's resignation by completing a form (See Forms).

If an agent dies the party, elected member, group of candidates, candidate or third-party campaigner that appointed the agent must notify the NSWEC of the agent's death by completing a form (See Forms).

It is an offence not to advise the NSWEC of a change in an agent's details or circumstances.
