Agent Training

Prospective agents must complete the NSWEC's online agent training prior to being appointed as an agent. The training consists of informational material and a multiple choice assessment. Prospective agents must achieve at least 80% in the assessment in order to successfully complete the training.

Some people are not required to complete the training prior to being appointed as an agent, including:

  • a Certified Practising Accountant member of CPA Australia, New South Wales Division; or
  • a member of, and holding a Certificate of Public Practice issued by, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, New South Wales Region; or
  • a member of, and holding a Professional Practice Certificate issued by, the Institute of Public Accountants.

Please be aware, agent training is temporarily unavailable on Saturday, 26 August from 9:00pm to midnight while the Electoral Roll is updated for the 2017 local Council elections.  The NSWEC apologises for this inconvenience.
