Commissioned Reports

The Electoral Commissioner has regularly commissioned research work to be undertaken by leading Australian experts in the fields of electoral law, campaign finance and related issues.

In the interests of informing the public, the results of this research are published on this website. However, any conclusions and/or recommendations are those of the commissioned expert.

It is a an express function of the NSW Electoral Commission under s 21C(2)(c) of the Parliamentary Electorates and Elections Act 1912 to conduct and promote research into electoral matters and other matters that relate to its functions, and publish the results of any such research.

Call for submissions: Report on the iVote system

The NSW Electoral Commission has engaged Mr Roger Wilkins AO to undertake an inquiry concerning its iVote internet and telephone voting system.
